On the 25th of November 2011 delegates from Bojanala Platinum and City of Lahti attented the Sanitation Day celebration at the Ho Poly Primary School in Ho Municipality.
On the 10th-21st of October, city of Lahti was visited by seven environmental officials from South Africa and Ghana. The representatives of the African partner municipalities got acquianted with the environmental management of Lahti as well as the climate program.

Mr. Porra tells about the background and the development of the co-operation between the City of Lahti and the Bojanala Platinum District Municipality. The co-operation has lasted over 10 years and has been a part of the North South Local Government Co-operation Programme since 2002.
