Representatives of Bojanala Platinum District Municipality as well as from Ho Municipal Assembly in Ghana visited Lahti in the beginning of August 2010. The programme of the working visit concentrated mainly on capacity building and technical expertise transfer on waste management solutions.
Southern cooperation partners of the City of Lahti, Bojanala Platinum and the Ho Municipal Assembly from Ghana, attended the North South Water Protection Seminar held in Lahti in June 2010.

Mr. Porra tells about the background and the development of the co-operation between the City of Lahti and the Bojanala Platinum District Municipality. The co-operation has lasted over 10 years and has been a part of the North South Local Government Co-operation Programme since 2002.
